ACTIVITY CHECK
SUBMISSION INFO
- Activity Check consists of 20 comments between 2-3 threads. Furthermore, we will be asking for social link submissions.
- If you submit 2 social link write ups, you will receive a reward from our character regains pool.
- If you submit 3+ social link write ups, you will receive either a Magic Ointment (forms a barrier that reflects all magic spells once) or a Physical Ointment (forms a barrier that reflects all physical attacks once).
Social link submissions are essentially a short writeup; please choose, at minimum, 2 pieces of CR in which your character has experienced some sort of shift in. By "shift", we mean anything as small as "my character now likes hanging out with A" to something more dramatic like "my character trusts A with their life". Negative shifts are also welcome! Just as long as something in your chosen pieces of CR has changed.
For September:
Keep writeups to no more than 4 sentences.
AC is due on the last day of each month. We will not be issuing official reminders, and those who fail to make AC will be swept.
Please follow the example in the comments on how to submit your activity!

Fray: From the start Argenti has been relatively positive towards the other man, allowing him to become a good sparring partner to then ending up worrying over him when he nearly died. But, as time has gone on, the foundations have grown ever more stronger, with Argenti's trust reaching an incredibly high amount for the other man that matches no other interaction with anyone else so far. He thinks of the man as honest, forthright, and true, no matter what he's told him. And, in the end, that distant support during that meeting, where he believes he held his own, meant a great deal for him, because it meant even if everyone turned on him, Fray would still have faith in him (and the man believed he could handle himself as well.)
Aerith: Argenti has, from the start, thought rather fondly of Aerith, given that they got along pretty well. That initial understanding felt like it was going to bloom into at least a strong friendship with an incredible camaderie. That said, unlike some people, even if she disagreed with his actions, she approached it in a kind and honest way. This is quite notable to him, even if he is certain he caused her an immense amount of trouble in kind.
Izou: The man is someone who rung as holding many attributes of a friend he knows well; straight-forward, loud, prickly, but also honest, with a decent level of pride in his own capabilities. At least, that's his initial impression; but, even though he knows his friend and Izou have been two entirely separate people, that line of thought changed when he witnessed his post, which made him worry. He also learned that his allies treated him like shit, so now he hopes to be a better friend, if possible, than those from before.
Maika: The young woman initially has given off the impression of being quite foul-mouthed and relatively rude as well as brash, though of course some of it has reminded him of a certain someone. He initially imagined that they would get along well, though given what he's done and her reaction following it, it's completely the opposite. Though, he does not fault her for it, given her own experiences in mind (and he isn't going to have thought worse of her for simply holding a differing opinion) Still, he likes to think he has come to understand her a bit more.
Sayaka: A young lady who seems to have gone through quite a many ordeals; while he has endeavored to watch over her as best as he can, he has seen evidence of cracks beneath the surface. Some of which he believes are either because of the situation they're in, or. She is one of the few that he worries about in regards to the revelations he has brought at the meeting...though all the same he will remain true to his most recent promise to help her grow stronger and his silent one to protect her best as he can.
Ushirono: A man who once seemed shrouded in mystery with a generally rude, though business-like presence that appeared as if he may have held good qualities, because he witnessed him teaching kids at one point. But, it became a double-edged sword as he learned more and more about him, including his research, until the ugly truth reveal session unveiled intensely sordid truths from an influence wishing conflict. He hardly thinks of the man as anyone well or anybody worth holding a good opinion on after killing him with his own hands, though for better or worse, he won't forget him.

Fray: To Argenti, Fray is a bastion of subtle kindness that is equally and profoundly echoed in his actions; Argenti has also seen him remain unflinching in his support, and a beautiful force of nature to be reckoned on the battlefield. These aspects alongside Fray's comforting presence granted rise to at first complex, complicated feelings; and as matters worsened this month, he imagined when Fray gazed upon the shadows of his heart—his fears, his despair, his fraught history alongside hints of even the dark impulses that lay sleeping inside—that the man would find the entirety of his being to be "dishonest", which he would have never blamed him for. But to his surprise, Fray's devotion did not diminish, nor did he ever waver in his commitment in bringing Argenti back. Then when that deep affection was spoken aloud like a vow, cast into the light from the shadows by Fray's powerful and earthshattering declaration of unrestrained words of love, Argenti realized he found a name to those feelings, returning such affections almost as if untamed.
Sayaka: He recognizes that Sayaka has made immense strides towards the betterment of herself in her constant efforts—not just by keeping herself busy, but by doing her best to look out for others in various ways. Though, at first he has worried that she might tire herself with her efforts, he's done his best to keep an eye out for her as much as he could even if that had been mostly very much hampered due to how hard everything hit him this month, and even if in turn she is the one who needed to help him in his time of need—which he still feels kind of guilty about. Still, he is incredibly thankful and feels blessed in her presence...and he also feels he's managed to grow ever so closer to her, enough that formalities have dropped between them, alongside the nurturing of a rare sort of kinship he has not felt in decades since the loss of his family.
Izou: Argenti learned more about Izou's circumstances after having dived into his palace, understanding further the struggles he must have gone through in a life where he was simultaneously doing all he could to the people who employed him, and called his friends, only to see more proof that it seems in the end that those bonds did not save him from being seen as the worst version of himself. He already has committed himself to being someone who would be as honest and supportive as he can, and though he is uncertain if that is something that will remain effective in the light of his experiences, his resolve should not be broken. From his point of view he sees it having been strengthened further when the man in his own way barreled fiercely into his palace to rescue him and still sees worth in the person that stands as he is now. Loud and rude but reliable, kind yet rough, he is a man that is a tale of two stories; one that Argenti has grown to deeply appreciate.
Aerith: A young woman whose presence he cherishes greatly, even with the complexities that transpired from that meeting which Argenti held—to the point he considered his desire for them to remain on good terms selfish. Though knowing she had strong feelings on the matter, he sought her out for a personal talk, hoping to ease any further worries and also because he felt it was unfair for her to reveal so much of herself without him being able to do the same for her in turn (as Argenti had no intentions of going even deeper into the more...concerning aspects of being a Knight of Beauty at that time) As they spoke, he believed he came to understand her far better as a person and her coming along to help him even with matters weighing deeply on her soul meant everything to him.
McGillis: Even as time moves forward, Argenti finds himself having simultaneously clashing with the man's differing point of view from the earlier month—or even unknowingly later on—but also at some times resonating with it. He considers him a near and dear companion to his heart, but at the same time he sees elements of the man he finds concerning for various reasons—both positive and negative. There is also the fact he did leave a discernible trail of previous actions on the network for those who can identify it...and yet the impressions of how he too accepted deeply those ugly aspects of him among other things, including rescuing him make the matter kind of complicated.
Maika: A young woman who he has felt he's had a vitriolic as well as uncertain relationship with at times, though Argenti still has no intentions of viewing her as horribly as she wanted him to in the first place, and it seemed from his end that matters would not change even if he cared about her. Then, everything came to a head when he lost himself and even tried to provoke her in the wake of a meeting, only to find himself pleasantly surprised—albeit disappointed in himself—as she actually did not rise to the bait, trying to actually help him instead. On one hand, he felt incredibly foolish for his behavior, but on the other, he was nothing less than incredibly grateful for her efforts in helping him through it. Now he knows she's a tsundere (not the term, but you get it) for sure, though...so, hope she can live with that.
Falin: A kind young lady from Argenti's perspective that originally ended up as a friendly acquaintance to new friend from last they spoke, only for when things to progress intensely as they did, to find that she threw her hat into the lot with other people as well, showing that despite the dark sides she had seen of him, she still dared to reach out and care for him. He sees her now as a rather trustworthy friend dear to his heart and he hopes that he can continue to be that way to her as well. She is also a warm and stable presence who can in her own way be firm and unflinching in the face of danger or criticism - the fact she is unafraid to speak her mind is also a plus.
Aaron: A man who Argenti feels like he has yet to begin to truly understand, having gotten off to a legitimately bad start the prior month, even if he never disliked him; yet he has been unafraid to reach out, out of hopes he can and they can bond despite their differences. To his exceptional surprise, he has felt the wisps of his caring heart, and not simply because he has gone to his palace. But, also because the man has evidently endeavored to look out for others as well. Though he struggles to still come to an answer why he would try to save him, his desire to bond with him has grown.
Jordi: A considerate man whose his gentle and kind heart made waves in ways that etched his memory firmly, but the depths of their fast-forged bonds were swiftly challenged at the first group meeting. Though both of them acknowledged the distance between them, Argenti was glad that it was clear neither for their bond to dissipate, and they even worked together, intending to celebrate following a victory even if Jordi scolded him for his optimistic and slight overconfidence. Whatever may have deepened from their further interactions and developments came to an abrupt end when the God of Conflict murdered him right before him and all who came to rescue the man. The grief was far more immense than Argenti originally thought would be, and he realized that all things considered, Jordi will never be forgotten.

Sighted closer are vermillion lights,
Roses blooming spectacularly in winter,
Defiant, bright, true, and anew.
Argenti started out in the game as someone who held firm to his beliefs in Idrila, as well as stringently yet ardently to his beliefs as a Knight of Beauty who walked his Path without ever dreaming of wavering. For him, he believed that this was the happiest he has ever been in his entire life compared to those days when he was aimless and lost when he had been so young. He continued in his usual manner, bubbly and friendly, immediately a number of fast friends upon his arrival, as well as generally anticipating that he would wind up exactly that. He began to even picture himself as someone that could essentially assist others in need, and quietly even began gaining intel on everyone's perspective towards the Goddess so that he could understood everyone's feelings better, as well as serve as another intermediary just to gain answers.
Though, these plans were essentially suddenly dashed in the wake of his murder wherein Ushirono Fuyu admitted to grisly crimes as well as other matters that made him realize he had to kill him in accordance to his duty as a Knight of Beauty. The man knew he had to own up to what he had done immediately, expecting answers of only two kinds:
Approval or disapproval. But, while he anticipated distrust, he did not understand the reason for being considered a potential threat or worse, and in the aftermath he considered that he was not one for working in groups, causing him to enter into a period of Self-Reflection. Yet, in the wake of all this, Palaces began to emerge, and a he suffered a great loss in the form of a friend in a way that gave him a heavy reminder that left him severely aggrieved, and feeling lost. Even before he was influenced, the doubt in himself was growing naturally, and he was feeling frustrated, yet helpless. Then he got a Palace of his own on top of this, which teared into him while he was emotionally fragile, leaving him a mess by the time people came to save him. Yet, in the wake of that, he realized that even knowing all that he is, and seeing the darkness in his heart, people still considered earnestly that he could still be beautiful. To care for him while knowing him. That the feeling that he would turn into a monster wasn't inevitable, that he had not been failing Idrila all along.
And slowly, his own perspective began to change. He still fervently believes in Idrila, but he feels that this Path he walks as a Knight of Beauty has altered, those thin shackles left behind - not in obvious ways, yet he will not do as he did before...
He would not die for Idrila. But he will show to this Aeon of Beauty, how his new outlook on the Path of Beauty looks in a world far away from his universe, as after all, he knows his life will be inexorably connected to the Aeon no matter where he is. Yet, now he knows he doesn't need to hide all the smaller, unrefined portions of himself; he knows he can enjoy himself, he can make mistakes like everyone else and not be damned for it, he can live freely and indulge like other people without facing judgment. He knows he need not live a solitary existence where hands can no longer reach him, and most important of all, he can choose love freely, and earnestly.
This is his new chapter, and though Argenti does not know its ending, as well as the fact that he feels he is still at times finding his footing, he already has witnessed its beginnings, feeling steadier than even before. Yes, like a rose in winter, he will rise!
