ACTIVITY CHECK

SUBMISSION INFO

Activity Check consists of 20 comments between 2-3 threads. Furthermore, we will be asking for social link submissions.

Social link submissions are essentially a short writeup; please choose, at minimum, 2 pieces of CR in which your character has experienced some sort of shift in. By "shift", we mean anything as small as "my character now likes hanging out with A" to something more dramatic like "my character trusts A with their life". Negative shifts are also welcome! Just as long as something in your chosen pieces of CR has changed.

For September:

• If you submit 2 social link write ups, you will receive a reward from our character regains pool.
  
• If you submit 3+ social link write ups, you will receive either a Magic Ointment (forms a barrier that reflects all magic spells once) or a Physical Ointment (forms a barrier that reflects all physical attacks once).

Keep writeups to no more than 4 sentences.

AC is due on the last day of each month. We will not be issuing official reminders, and those who fail to make AC will be swept.

Aubrey: After having learned about her past due to the truth event, Shizuki feels a bit closer to her. Sure, he's somewhat upset about the person that she might have drowned, but sees no reason to dislike her now that she already dislikes herself so much.
McGillis: A more complicated example. Shizuki feels closer to him, but definitely uncomfortable. Not because of judgement for the friends that he killed, but because he's proof of the dangers of modern society. A wrong move can get you killed. It can be said that Shizuki might be a little afraid of him.
Ai: An outgoing idol who ran away from a rural area to the big city. She seems like the opposite of him, so Shizuki is naturally interested, though also concerned about her. He hopes that they can hang out and she can teach him about karaoke and other modern city stuff.
Jesse: He's teaching Shizuki modern lingo and he loves it. Yay they're friends :)

Argenti: Through art and discussing the way they few the world around them, she and Argenti immediately hit it off. They both like to look at the world through a positive lens, with a focus on kindness above all else, which is why Aerith took a liking to him quickly. That has grown complicated, however, now that Argenti has revealed that he killed her roommate, Fuyu. While she understands on some level, she still can't condone his actions, and it's given her a lot of feelings to sort through.

Maika: Gruff and very much rude, Aertih sees Maika as an easy target to tease... and, honestly, an easy person to bond with. It's easy to get a back and forth going with someone like Maika, and being able to surprise her or pull a smile from her is an accomplishment that Aerith will gladly accept. They get along well, despite the differences in their attitudes, and Aerith would like to know more about her.

Aaron: Despite what Aerith considers to be a terrible attitude, Aerith thinks he’s fun to be around… probably because of his attitude. He’s bad at expressing any kind of emotion towards other people, but despite that, she can see that he cares. Essentially, she’d like to know more about him.

Jeno: With Jeno, there was an immediate sense of camaraderie due to both sharing a two whole professions - Circus Idiots (tm) and Street Performers (they're different, I promise). Further, when caught up by the Discord Hooligans, sharing secrets forced a deeper bond instead of, you know, driving a wedge.

Mafuyu: Immediately upon arrival, he took Mafuyu under his wing. He treated her kindly without pushing past too many boundaries, and they did a commission together to get her a better wardrobe. She's been a shy little duckling whenever they're together, but he doesn't seem to mind and hasn't bullied her for it. They were also caught up by the hooligans, and while his caginess was annoying and his secret rattled her, it hasn't had any immediately adverse effects that can be seen, yet.

Eli: What started as initial commiserating over a loss of powers turned into sharing secrets (some more open than others) of being the sort of supernatural creatures people tend to distrust. They've since made Just In Case arrangements for what might happen on a full moon, and because we can't take anything seriously, Celeste keeps pestering him. It's affectionate... probably.

Social Link Section: Fray: Initially hesitant of the intimidating man in armor, she saw him help her on her first excursion outside and she's grateful for the assistance. Though he asks many questions. Many questions that Sayaka isn't sure about, what with her freshly murdered state and how that's affected her. He's the first that's made her question if she's actually happy in her work, and if it was even worth it.

Argenti: Though she doesn't know the man well, and there's a certain wondering of how much of him is an act, Sayaka really does like the knight. His bright demeanor, deep kindness, all of it directed toward her made her feel helped when she first arrived in the state that she did. While recent situations may change her views some, she can't help but feel an understanding toward the man and what he had to do. And even a little jealous, that he was completely justified in his actions.

Fray: From the start Argenti has been relatively positive towards the other man, allowing him to become a good sparring partner to then ending up worrying over him when he nearly died. But, as time has gone on, the foundations have grown ever more stronger, with Argenti's trust reaching an incredibly high amount for the other man that matches no other interaction with anyone else so far. He thinks of the man as honest, forthright, and true, no matter what he's told him. And, in the end, that distant support during that meeting, where he believes he held his own, meant a great deal for him, because it meant even if everyone turned on him, Fray would still have faith in him (and the man believed he could handle himself as well.)

Aerith: Argenti has, from the start, thought rather fondly of Aerith, given that they got along pretty well. That initial understanding felt like it was going to bloom into at least a strong friendship with an incredible camaderie. That said, unlike some people, even if she disagreed with his actions, she approached it in a kind and honest way. This is quite notable to him, even if he is certain he caused her an immense amount of trouble in kind.

Izou: The man is someone who rung as holding many attributes of a friend he knows well; straight-forward, loud, prickly, but also honest, with a decent level of pride in his own capabilities. At least, that's his initial impression; but, even though he knows his friend and Izou have been two entirely separate people, that line of thought changed when he witnessed his post, which made him worry. He also learned that his allies treated him like shit, so now he hopes to be a better friend, if possible, than those from before.

Maika: The young woman initially has given off the impression of being quite foul-mouthed and relatively rude as well as brash, though of course some of it has reminded him of a certain someone. He initially imagined that they would get along well, though given what he's done and her reaction following it, it's completely the opposite. Though, he does not fault her for it, given her own experiences in mind (and he isn't going to have thought worse of her for simply holding a differing opinion) Still, he likes to think he has come to understand her a bit more.

Sayaka: A young lady who seems to have gone through quite a many ordeals; while he has endeavored to watch over her as best as he can, he has seen evidence of cracks beneath the surface. Some of which he believes are either because of the situation they're in, or. She is one of the few that he worries about in regards to the revelations he has brought at the meeting...though all the same he will remain true to his most recent promise to help her grow stronger and his silent one to protect her best as he can.

Ushirono: A man who once seemed shrouded in mystery with a generally rude, though business-like presence that appeared as if he may have held good qualities, because he witnessed him teaching kids at one point. But, it became a double-edged sword as he learned more and more about him, including his research, until the ugly truth reveal session unveiled intensely sordid truths from an influence wishing conflict. He hardly thinks of the man as anyone well or anybody worth holding a good opinion on after killing him with his own hands, though for better or worse, he won't forget him.

Celeste, The Devil- not that Mafuyu would know. Celeste has been a very gentle rock in her adjustment, and she trusts him implicitly for the kindness he's shown her... enough so that as he confessed to murder, she wound up reaching for his hand despite the conflicted feelings she holds. Despite everything, she is very comfortable with him at this time.

Arven, The Tower - There's a quiet understanding here about loneliness, even if she knows it's in different ways. Still, its telling that despite all of Mafuyu's apathy, she reached out to check on him after that disaster of a meeting.

Aubrey, The Hanged Man - Aubrey is immensely abrasive, more than Ena ever was. Mafuyu doesn't quite care though, and appreciates the almost cruel jabs because no one has ever done it before (even if the novelty will wear off quickly). Because of Honesty Week, Aubrey is currently the only one who has a glimpse of Mafuyu's Mother's smothering control.

Arven: Arven and Eli are not best friend roommates by any stretch of the imagination. Regardless, Eli decided to have just enough respect for him (for Mabosstiff's sake) to warn him about his condition ahead of the first full moon here. While it ultimately turned out that his condition was also on hold in this world, he didn't want Arven to worry or come looking for him in case he did become a danger.

Izou: Eli and Izou started off on the wrong foot and... are... continuously on the wrong foot. They fought viciously during their first meeting because Eli was offended by Izou's ego, and Izou was offended by the insults Eli threw at him. They continue to take metaphorical (and potentially literal) stabs at one another, but during their last encounter, when Izou was a drunken mess, Eli couldn't bring himself to pick on the guy any further. He told Izou it isn't fun to fight with someone when they can't fight back and got him a glass of water instead.

Céleste: The adventures of two supernatural shitheads ayyyy. Okay, but really, Celeste was the first to reveal he wasn't quite human, either, after Eli admitted the same (although Eli is adamant that He Is Very Human, Thanks). As such, he would inevitably turn to Celeste when he was worried about the full moon. Trusting someone he hasn't known for long is difficult for Eli, but Celeste was a familiar sort of undead to him, and so, he took that chance.

Eli: Their budding friendship is a bit on the vitriolic side, with their abrasive natures leading them to get along like oil and water, but Mabosstiff has proven to be a great mediator. Arven wouldn't admit to it, but he's trying to look out for his roomie, especially since they've now shared some heavy secrets with one another.

Mafuyu: Since they first met, Arven's gotten the sense that he and Mafuyu might have a lot in common. If only they were good things in common. He was touched when she reached out to him after the meeting from hell.

Sayaka: What is with the trend of him and his fellow teens having gone through Some Shit. Though Sayaka unintentionally pushed the envelope a little too hard with Arven's boundaries in their first meeting, the felt connection is still there. Especially after Sayaka stuck her neck out for him during the awakening in Nekyia.

Argenti: "I've only had Argenti for less than a month, but if anything happens to him, I'll kill everyone in this game and then myself." -Fray, probably. Saying that he's bonded with Argenti in such a short time is underselling it; Fray legitimately trusts Argenti more than most people he's had the opportunity to meet, and he's very fond of the yapper knight. He even told Argenti the truth about who he actually is!

Aerith: As far as first meetings go, this one was absolutely a joy. Aerith gently bullied Fray into arts and crafts time, and from there the two of them ended up getting along remarkably well, even touching on a few of their issues (without actually getting into said issues, as this was only a first meeting). They definitely have potential to go in some interesting directions!

Sayaka: Fray's roommate is one of the ones who showed up here after something truly horrific happened to her, so he's trying to keep an eye on her as best he can. He finds her situation fascinating and wants to learn more about her, so he doesn't have any qualms about asking probing questions just to see how she reacts to them.

Argenti: They started out friendly?? Friendly and quite low-stakes, given Argenti was very nice towards Jordi when the latter had trouble with their impromptu race, and they even shared a bit about their feelings on being here after, so Jordi was perfectly willing to call him a friend and trust him! ... Then Argenti killed Fuyu and Jordi thinks he might have to walk back on that trust, even if he's very reluctant to stop calling him a friend, so he'll have to come to terms with that too and make a proper decision.

Eli: Jordi was initially quite neutral towards Eli, but the outburst at the meeting makes him super wary now. He's still willing to give Eli the benefit of the doubt and declare them friends since he sounds like he's just very emotionally unstable, but one thing is for sure: Jordi doesn't want to be a verbal punching bag for him.

Social Link Section: Maika is an interesting feral creature, much like herself. The forced confessions helped Schneider's perspective move seeing Maika as someone who is a source of entertainment to someone who she can relate to. Maybe even a friend.

Argenti started as a funny, weird roommate to someone Schneider actively dislikes, and this dislike is definitely extended to everyone who blindly supported him without question. She has suspicions about most of his story but with her general hatred for religion or anything related to it, and moral crusaders...yeah. Bye~! She's out.

Aerith is a strange one, but Schneider finds herself getting on with her anyway. She's optimistic, maybe to a fault but she lacks the judgement that many of those types of people hold. It's refreshing.

Aaron has struck McGillis as one of the more reasonable people around here. He appreciates his critical mind as well as his open cynicism and will likely continue to springboard thoughts off of him.
Argenti has left a strong impression on uhhhh everyone this month. McGillis started out finding his theatrics in equal measures endearing and exhausting, but he has since learned there is a lot more going on below the surface. He is very interested in digging deeper into what knightliness means to Argenti.... provided Argenti doesn't decide he needs to die first, which would be an issue.
Kirumi is a member of Dead Club, which means McGillis feels an immediate affinity that he doesn't have with those who can be motivated by 'going home'. She is also a sharp mind, which he appreciates. Her maid job makes him very curious to find out more of her thoughts on class divide.

Aerith: A woman with a persistently sunny nature that keeps Maika off-balance every time they speak. The fact that nothing Maika says ever seems to ruffle her makes her strangely easy to talk to, and Maika enjoys their banter more than she'll admit. After Aerith's confession at the meeting she wants to pry a little deeper and understand more of what's going on behind her smiles.

Argenti: Maika's tentative-positive impression of Argenti as hardworking despite the buffoonery got turned on its head by the meeting announcement. She has no qualms about murderers and doesn't have enough information to judge his actions; but she really dislikes the way he went about it and how it was received. Until she decides how angry she is about it (and whether he'll cave and admit that her claims of being a monster are more than just bravado), she intends to keep him in her line of sight.

Eli: Maika would have thought she has zero loyalty to the idea of a pack, but Eli is oddly endearing to her. It's more soothing than she thought to meet another wolf, even if he's apparently still in the dumb pup stage (affectionate). The tiny thread of commonality they share and his straightforward nature means she finds him easy to be around.

Schneider: Her first impression was that Schneider was a kindred spirit — and, therefore, dangerous. The forced confessions might have proved her right about that, but they also gave her an unwanted understanding into how similar they are. Maika's guard is now distinctly lower around Schneider, and though she'd hate to admit it, she feels a little bit protective of her.

Tenn: One of the first people to approach Sally directly during the welcoming party. Though his idolish good looks made her wary of his intentions, she left the conversation sort of feeling like maybe she had someone she could talk to again without fear of being made fun of. RIP.

Grace: Grace and Sally met during the week 1 photoshoot. Although Sally was determined to be unhappy and uncomfortable during the entire ordeal, Grace's upbeat attitude was hard to put a negative spin on. She ended up going along with the older woman's attempts at bonding well enough that she paired up with her for the Go-Kart Race. She has regrets!

Sou - Yuri doesn't know much about his roommate as of yet, but their initial interaction has been cordial. It's unclear as of yet if the two will have any friction, but they've been able to coexist in the same room with no problems.

Jesse - What an energetic young man! It felt somewhat difficult for Yuri to keep up with his strange way of speaking, but it seems the boy's heart is in the right place. Plus, Jesse gave him one of these Tamagotchi things, and it's one of the cutest devices Yuri's ever seen in his life, so that immediately puts Jesse in his good graces.

Aaron - Aaron is the kind of person that likes to push a person's buttons, that much is obvious. But what started as a grating annoyance turned into some kind of begrudging respect after the two played cards and exchanged some friendly banter afterward. Yuri isn't sure if he'd consider the man a friend per say, but acquaintance is an adequate word for the two's disposition toward each other.

Yuri: Jesse is intrigued by this strong and silent type of man, and feels like he actually managed to have a good talk with the guy. He gifted him a tamagotchi!

Frieren: His roommate's a bit weird, given she doesn't seem to fully pick up on slang or know what Cheetos are, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. She uses "yo" like a grandma would but she seems sincere about it so it's funny.

Argenti: This particular CR only started like a few days ago so I don't have eligible threads for it but for the record Jesse is team "Argenti did nothing wrong"

Mafuyu: Yi Sang met Mafuyu while cleaning up trash around the city, and he seemed like a responsible and capable girl. But then the subject of her broken phone came up, the facade of hers cracked a bit as she wanted it fixed. Seeing as it was important to her and Yi Sang understands the sentimentality behind such things, he promised to try and fix it for her.
Aerith: A very spirited woman. The kind of person who sweeps up the introverted like Yi Sang into silly little things like decorating nametags. They actually share a few things in common, like a fondness for the rare greenery in their lives and living in the city. He actually wants to know more about her, since she opened up about being a research subject... There's more to her, and that has him curious.
Fuyu: Post-mortem write up just because. Yi Sang played a game of chess with him, and learned they were both researchers. However, Yi Sang could sense that something wasn't quite right, and he kicked Fuyu's rear at chess for being too ambitious, even if it wasn't a fun victory, just a reflexive one. Also he learned that the guy was closed off when it came to the bonds thing, which now makes sense. It's a bond that cannot continue, but he feels bad for the guy.
Argenti: Hey the passing of the dead guy allows for a new bond! Argenti admitted to killing Fuyu and Yi Sang accepted it. Honestly he just wanted to be sure the guy accepted responsibility for it since man, murder might make that hard all around. Rose guy asked for Yi Sang's name after introducing himself and liked that Yi Sang appreciates roses in some abstract manner, so they're probably keeping some eye on eachother, as they both kinda care about the goals of Braphine.

Argenti: Whooo boy that was a negative shift. He didn't really feel strongly about Argenti at first, up until the guy went and cut down someone else. Now Sou is wary of Argenti and is looking for ways to keep himself from becoming a target. (He also really wants someone else to take our Argenti so he's not an issue, but Sou won't step in to make that happen.)

Schneider: He honestly hadn't spoken to her before the meeting but seeing her speak out against killing Fuyu and actually trying to shoot Argenti made Sou go "damb girl". He now thinks she's pretty neat and is making efforts to be friendly to her/become allies with her.

Sayaka: They get along alright! Honestly she seems like a normal girl and Sou doesn't tend to manipulate kids so he's just being friendly with her right now. He appreciates her forward personality, it's a breath of fresh air among all these weirdos.

Argenti: Izou is of two minds on Argenti, because on the one hand, Argenti is very nice and shiny and cool and for some reason seems to view Izou positively, which he likes very much. On the other hand, he is intensely skeptical of anyone who's this nice to him, thinking it's a prank or buttering him up or otherwise insincere. He wants to believe the man sincere but...

Eli: Eli and Izou are constantly butting heads due to having similarly dumb and beligerent personalities. That said, Izou has started to recognize this similarity and due to Eli being younger and not dead, has grown concerned that Eli is going to follow his same path. He still wants to fight him but perhaps now it's less of an intent to murder.

Sunrise: Izou think Sunrise is strange in how she behaves, but in some ways her extreme forthrightness makes it easier for him to buy she's just like that as opposed to Argenti's flowery prose. He can respect a woman who just says things straight even if he's shocked by it a little, plus she brings him water and crackers when he's hungover.

Social Link Section: Maika - This CR might have started with the threat of violence over the buffet, but their similar personalities and suspicions about the situation helped Kainé lower her defenses around her a little bit.

Schneider - Not one, not two, but three swear-happy women? Kainé also bonded with Schneider over mutual irritation with their shared situation, but at the go-kart crash she started to take her competence more seriously.

Jordi - This is CR that's just starting due to undertaking the Archangel hunting commission, but Kainé has already gone from being incredulous about Jordi staying to fight when he was clearly up against poor odds with Shadows immune to his attacks to grudgingly accepting that some people just like fighting against difficult odds for what they wants.

Still Sunrise: To say that Richard's roommate is not what he was expecting is an understatement. Still, her frankness and her resemblance to someone he knows from his own world helped him slowly let down some of his walls around her, and the two of them have begun to take care of each other in their own ways.

Maika: These two did not exactly get off on the best foot with each other between Maika accidentally jabbing one of Richard's trauma buttons right off the bat and Richard immediately going on the defensive as a result. Still, she seems to have a good head on her shoulders, and Richard can't say that he wouldn't want to get to know her a little better even if he's still also wary around her at the same time.
