ACTIVITY CHECK

SUBMISSION INFO

Activity Check consists of 20 comments between 2-3 threads. Furthermore, we will be asking for social link submissions.

Social link submissions are essentially a short writeup; please choose, at minimum, 2 pieces of CR in which your character has experienced some sort of shift in. By "shift", we mean anything as small as "my character now likes hanging out with A" to something more dramatic like "my character trusts A with their life". Negative shifts are also welcome! Just as long as something in your chosen pieces of CR has changed.

For September:

• If you submit 2 social link write ups, you will receive a reward from our character regains pool.
  
• If you submit 3+ social link write ups, you will receive either a Magic Ointment (forms a barrier that reflects all magic spells once) or a Physical Ointment (forms a barrier that reflects all physical attacks once).

Keep writeups to no more than 4 sentences.

AC is due on the last day of each month. We will not be issuing official reminders, and those who fail to make AC will be swept.

Character: Okada Izou

Argenti: Izou is of two minds on Argenti, because on the one hand, Argenti is very nice and shiny and cool and for some reason seems to view Izou positively, which he likes very much. On the other hand, he is intensely skeptical of anyone who's this nice to him, thinking it's a prank or buttering him up or otherwise insincere. He wants to believe the man sincere but...

Eli: Eli and Izou are constantly butting heads due to having similarly dumb and beligerent personalities. That said, Izou has started to recognize this similarity and due to Eli being younger and not dead, has grown concerned that Eli is going to follow his same path. He still wants to fight him but perhaps now it's less of an intent to murder.

Sunrise: Izou think Sunrise is strange in how she behaves, but in some ways her extreme forthrightness makes it easier for him to buy she's just like that as opposed to Argenti's flowery prose. He can respect a woman who just says things straight even if he's shocked by it a little, plus she brings him water and crackers when he's hungover.

1. Costume - A sparkly performance leotard with both cutouts and fluttery fabric additions for visual interest. (It's the pink one in the art.)


2. Millennium Puzzle Box - An intricate, rectangular box made of actual gold.

Social Link Section:
McGillis: This has been a roller coaster month for these two. They were getting along alright after Izou's Palace, then McGillis dumped his weird baggage on the floor and made Izou want to kill him for essentially having done to his friend what was done to Izou. After a foiled murder attempt, Izou was pressed to investigate more calmly after seeing McGillis' dreamscape, and a long conversation had them arrive at more of an understanding. The situation further enfuckened when Ball threads exposed a mutual attraction amidst the negative feelings that they explored with a kiss so now it's extremely ????????????????

Mafuyu: Izou went from respectfully staying out of Mafuyu's space by not sleeping in their shared room to being her new honorary big brother after undergoing several harrowing palaces allowed the two to understand eachother better. Now understanding the difficult situation that caused Mafuyu's shy demeanor, Izou is determined to use his rougher self to protect her so she can become strong too now that she's free.

Eli: Izou and Eli literally had a moment where they verbally realized and agreed they are each other's best friends here. After Eli helped save Izou in his palace, the two overcame their prickliness and instead became devoted if still slightly abrasive friends. They are simply two dogs, your honor. Who might kiss or something later, it's fine.

Izou came into the game believing he had nothing to hold onto to keep himself going besides anger, and no purpose to serve besides fighting and killing. Still bitter over the way he felt discarded by the people he'd cared about the most, the idea of being summoned here to form bonds seemed like a mistake to him, and on a deeper level, terrifying. Under all his threats and bluster, Izou was afraid that he is the problem, that he is inherently unworthy of the same loyalty and affection he finds himself giving away all to easily despite his reservations.

It took having a bunch of people, who had little if any reason to stick their necks out for him, fighting through his palace and still holding out a hand to him to make him realize there was a chance for him after all. And that he didn't want to fuel himself through anger. Maybe it was alright that he wants to reach out despite having been scorned before!

After that, he slowly settled into this new mindset, still prickly and argumentative, but more and more his strong emotions were being redirected in positive behaviors, focusing more on protecting and less on killing. As he became increasingly secure in the fact that he wasn't just being tolerated for his usefulness, the more upbeat and lively side of his personality started dominating over the sullen grungy manslayer side!!! He's still got issues to work through and he's still framing his budding relationship in a weird violent obsession but... he's inarguably much happier and more comfortable than he was before.

Izou has been granted the following skill:

YOU HAVE MY SHIELD: Izou gains a curse-infused shield that he can use to protect himself and others. The shield, despite being powered by curse energy, radiates warmth that feels like the sun. The shield cannot block any attacks, but it can do one of two things per use: 1) Reflect damage done to Izou and/or his allies back at his enemies, or 2) be thrown like a boomerang, which will slice enemies in a line across the battlefield. Either option will do severe multi-target curse damage.

Additionally, you will receive an outfit upgrade upon summoning your Persona! The design is entirely up to you and is purely cosmetic.

This will come into play effective 10/26.
